How does Juvéderm® work?
Juvéderm® an injectable gel made from a naturally occurring sugar called hyaluronic acid. It provides skin with volume and hydration, when placed below the skin surface it will 'plum up' the structures.
Do Juvéderm® injections hurt?
Very fine needles are used to inject Juvéderm® and it's generally tolerated very well. Simple techniques such as applying ice before the procedure and offering topical anaesthesia can help reduce discomfort further.
Is Juvéderm® safe?
Juvéderm® has been used for many years and is generally well tolerated, while you may experience no side effects at all, some can occur. These include injection site redness, pain, swelling, bruising, itchiness and discolouration. These effects are generally temporary and should resolve within one week.
When will I see results?
Results can been seen almost immediately, however , the best effect is usually seen at 2 weeks.
How long do Juvéderm® injections last?
On average people tend to experience the benefits of Juvéderm® injections for up to 9 months.
How much does Juvéderm® cost?
The cost of one Juvéderm® syringe is $650 (+ GST) but your fee will depend on your specific needs and how many syringes are needed.
